Before You Sign The Contract

If you're in the market to buy or sell luxury real estate in Toronto or Augusta then you're going to need to hire yourself a real estate agent to guide you through the process. The same can be said if you're going to be shopping for or selling non-luxury real estate such as Augusta or Pickering townhouses for sale.

A real estate agent who's knowledgeable and experienced has been through every scenario imaginable when it comes to buying or selling real estate and they can use their knowledge and experience to help you buy or sell real estate, give you pointers about applying for residential or commercial mortgages, and research the neighbourhoods you plan on living in or research what past homes in your area sold for to give you an idea of what you can expect to fetch for your home.

Those are a few services you'll get from hiring an Augusta or Mississauga real estate agent to help you buy or sell real estate. Before you sign the contract to hire your real estate agent we'd like to make you aware of a few things.

Most people think that fees real estate agents charge are flat and non-negotiable but that's not always the case. It all really depends on the market conditions and what you are in the market for. In a market that has a lot of properties for sale an agent might charge less to get you to sign with them because they are competing with a lot of other agents for your services. Or if you plan on selling one property and then buying another a real estate agent might give you a discount if you hire them to help you with both transactions.

When you hire an Augusta or Oakville real estate agent to help you sell your home you should make it clear that they tell you about all offers they receive for your home. Some agents will keep offers from their clients because they want to hold out for a higher offer and, for them, a higher commission. So tell them from the outset you want to be notified of any and all offers.

Make sure that you read over the listing agreement before you sign it to ensure you're not signing something that's not beneficial to you or that they added a clause that you don't understand. Hopefully with the above tips you'll feel confident in hiring a real estate agent. Good luck!
